Signing Johnathan Cyprien could mean end of Da'Norris Searcy with Titans

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Da'Norris Searcy signed a four-year deal with the Titans' previous regime in 2015.

He’s due to make a base salary of $5.625 million this year and $6.125 million next year with no guarantees.

The team’s pending addition of free agent safety Johnathan Cyprien from the Jaguars could make Searcy obsolete. We don’t know the terms of Cyprien’s deal yet, but what Searcy is due is a lot no matter who else is on the roster at his spot.

Last year, Searcy started all 14 games he played at strong safety.
