PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's rowing team opened the 2017 spring racing season with a sweep over Lehigh on the Schuylkill River. Temple grabbed victories in the varsity eight, second varsity eight, and varsity four races, rowing out of their newly renovated boathouse for the first time.
In varsity eight racing, Temple recorded a time of 6:47.88, to take an open water victory over Lehigh's time of 7:02.84. In the second varsity eight race, the Owls nabbed a 12 second victory, finishing in 7:00.21. Lehigh's 2V took second in 7:12.96 and Temple's novice eight had an excellent race, finishing in 7:16.
