PHILADELPHIA — The Temple men's crew team took home four medals, including three golds, hosting the 35th Annual Murphy Cup Regatta on the Schuylkill River on Saturday.
Temple, hosting its first regatta at its newly opened boathouse, grabbed wins in the third varsity eight, the novice eight, and the novice four, while taking third in the varsity four event. Overall, all of Temple's boats advanced to the finals, and no crew finished lower than fifth place overall in a stacked field.
In novice racing, the Owls swept the eight and four events. The novice eight opened the day with a win in its heat, clocking in at 6:24.
