PHILADELPHIA — With day one of the 2017 Dad Vail Regatta in the books, the Temple men's crew team has qualified to compete in eight finals. The Owls will compete in the grand finals in the varsity four, lightweight eight, freshman eight and freshman four, and the petite finals in the varsity eight, lightweight four, JV four, and single.
In the premiere event, Temple fell just short of a grand finals berth, as just 2.4 seconds separated the first through third spots in the varsity eight semis. Needing to finish in the top two, the Owls found themselves behind Saint Joseph's (5:49.
