TCU guard Desmond Bane did not make Tuesday’s cut to the final 18 players under consideration to be part of the USA Under-19 World Cup Team that will compete in the FIBA U19 World Championships, July 1-9 in Cairo, Egypt.
Bane, one of 25 invitees to the training camp that began Sunday in Colorado Springs, Colo., was one of seven players released Tuesday by U.S. coach John Calipari. The squad will be pared down to a 12-player roster by June 25, with those 12 players comprising Team USA in Cairo.
