A familiar face is returning to the local college basketball landscape.
Former North Texas coach Tony Benford will join TCU's staff as an assistant, according to a report from CBS Sports. Benford comes from LSU, where he was an assistant on Will Wade's coaching staff for the last two seasons.

Benford, a former Texas Tech guard, took over as LSU's interim coach when the university suspended Wade at the end of the season for insubordination.
