Saw this idea thrown out there: Ditch the football conference championships and expand the playoff to six or eight teams. Your thoughts on that? And just how realistic is it?
Chuck Carlton: There's starting to be little more talk about playoff expansion with the omission of Penn State and Southern Cal and the implosion of Washington and Iowa State. We're in Year 3 of the College Football Playoff. Best guess: no expansion comes until Year 6, the halfway mark in the TV contract, at the earliest.
