As expected, Texas Tech and TCU each received national seeds Monday in the NCAA baseball tournament.
In addition to hosting regionals, No. 5 Tech (43-15) and No. 6 TCU (43-15) would each host a superregional should they keep winning on the road to the College World Series in Omaha. Dallas Baptist, Texas, Baylor, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State also joined the 64-team field.
In the case of TCU, the national seed may not qualify as much of a reward. Its regional is -- in a word -- loaded. Three of the four teams have at least 40 wins.
