Foster Sawyer's second career start comes in dreadful offensive performance for TCU

FORT WORTH - TCU sophomore quarterback Foster Sawyer made his first start of the season against Kansas State, but it did not last long for the Fort Worth All Saints alum.

Sawyer completed 12-of-25 passes for 86 yards but was pulled before TCU's second drive of the third quarter in favor of Kenny Hill, TCU's normal starter. Hill was injured in the second half of last week's win over Texas. He finished the game 5-of-11 for 52 yards but was injured on the final drive of the game.

TCU head coach Gary Patterson said that Hill was unable to practice for much of the week and that opened up the opportunity for Sawyer to make his second career start.
