A former TCU wide receiver suing the university for negligence regarding injuries refiled his petition on Wednesday and added more allegations against coach Gary Patterson.
According to the amended lawsuit filed in Dallas County on Wednesday, former football player Kolby Listenbee alleged Patterson pressured players to quickly return from injuries. Listenbee cited examples from 2002 to 2013 in attempt to show a pattern of misconduct by Patterson. The suit was originally filed in January and lists Patterson, TCU and the Big 12 as three of the 11 named defendants.
Listenbee's lawsuit claims the team used a "pattern of verbal abuse" and "pressure to return to play despite serious injuries.
