Odorizzi slated for Monday start at Marlins

BALTIMORE -- Jake Odorizzi threw a 65-pitch simulated game before Wednesday's series finale with the Orioles, did well, and said he will be ready to come off the disabled list to pitch for the Rays on Monday against the Marlins.

Odorizzi (strained left hamstring) threw four innings, and said he was very happy how it all turned out.

"It was good, felt good," Odorizzi said. "[I] felt really fresh. It's been a waiting game. I'm just ready to go out there."

Manager Kevin Cash also was pleased with the results of the session.

"He looked really good," Cash said.
