Matt Moore and Richie Shaffer were among the first six players to be added to the Rays’ roster as teams can add up to 15 additional players starting today.
Also joining the roster are outfielder Mikie Mahtook and relievers CJ Riefenhauser and Kirby Yates.
In addition, catcher Luke Maile is expected to be promoted, according to Marc Topkin. However that move has not been made yet by the Rays. Maile is not on the 40-man roster and a spot will need to be cleared before he can be promoted.
More players could be added next week after the minor league seasons end.
