Jose Quintana made his final start of the 2016 season and reached a couple of personal milestones of his own. The southpaw tossed six innings and struck out seven, giving him 208 innings and 181 strikeouts. Both stand as career bests, as does his 3.20 ERA.
Kevin Kiermaier knocked out three hits for the Rays. Mikie Mahtook, Alexei Ramirez and Curt Casali had two apiece, with Mahtook homering in the fourth as well as doubling and scoring twice.
