Andriese gives up six runs in 4 1/3 vs. Yanks

"I was getting ahead early, I just wasn't finishing them off," said Andriese, who is slotted fifth in Tampa Bay's rotation to open the regular season. "I was just kind of picking around the zone a little too much, just trying to feel for my offspeed pitches a little bit instead of just attacking with everything. … I just wasn't commanding the zone like I usually do."

Yankees right-hander Bryan Mitchell turned in an unconvincing outing as he shoots for a rotation spot. Mitchell worked three-plus innings and permitted three runs on six hits, walking two and striking out three with a hit batsman.
