Forsythe finds way back to second base

BALTIMORE — After three days at first base in place of James Loney (fractured left middle finger), INF Logan Forsythe returned to second base Friday, where he teamed with SS Asdrubal Cabrera to improve the defense up the middle.

“I think we saw how good we’ve been with Logan and Cabby together,” manager Kevin Cash said before the game against the Orioles. “We’ll probably keep them together.”

The Rays defense at second and short was a little shaky during the three-game Seattle series, when INFs Tim Beckham and Nick Franklin played those two positions.

Both committed errors that led to runs.
