The Tampa Bay Lightning has struggled much more than their fair share this season when it comes to some of their key players suffering various injuries. The good news is some of those injured players are finally beginning to recover from their injuries and make their way back into the Lightning lineup. At the same time, this means that some of the players who have been called up to fill in will need to be sent back.
Earlier this morning, it seems as if one of those aforementioned moves have been made. According to Tampa Bay Times Staff Writer Joe Smith, the Tampa Bay Lightning has elected to reassign Lightning right wing Joel Vermin to the Lightning’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.
