Bolts and Crunch extend partnership through the 2021-2022 season

Over the course of the past four seasons, 36 players have donned both a Crunch and Lightning sweater. It looks as if that number will grow even larger over the next six years.

It was announced early Thursday afternoon that the Tampa Bay Lightning reached an agreement that will let their prospects continue to call Syracuse home for at least the next six seasons. Since the affiliation began in 2012, over 30 players have left their mark on War Memorial ice before making the jump to the big club in Tampa. Such players as Tyler Johnson, Ondrej Palat, Nikita Kucherov, and Vladislav Namestnikov have once called the salt city home.
