Mel Kiper projects Michigan's Taco Charlton to Bucs in first round

TAMPA, Fla. -- ESPN NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper, Jr. unveiled his first 2017 mock draft Thursday morning, and he has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selecting Michigan's Taco Charlton with the 19th overall pick. In his evaluation, Kiper called him the "best pass rusher in the draft."

The 6-foot-6, 272-pound defensive end recorded 9.5 sacks in 2016 -- his first full season as a starter -- with 5.5 in his final four games, including 2.5 sacks and nine tackles against No. 2 Ohio State. He also registered 13.5 tackles for a loss and 42 combined tackles (19 solo) and was named first-team All-Big Ten.
