Tampa Bay’s stellar weak-side linebacker admits his mind wandered a bit during the six weeks between the end of mandatory minicamp and the start of training camp. The fourth-year pro found himself thinking about the ongoing negotiations between his agent and the organization regarding a contract extension.
On Monday, the pads came out — and it was all about football.
“When you’ve got a lot of time on your hands, you kind of lean toward what’s going on outside,’’ said David, Tampa Bay’s leading tackler in each of his three pro seasons.
