Notre Dame (1-3) has losses to three power-five teams, and its only win came against Nevada. Syracuse (2-2) has lopsided losses to two power-five teams, and wins against Connecticut and Colgate.
The defenses for both teams rank among the worst in college football, sitting outside the top 100 in yards allowed.
