The Orange have made the defensive backfield a priority for the 2016 recruiting class. Syracuse already has verbal commitments from defensive backs Scoop Bradshaw and Monquavion Brinson. Syracuse is holding at least one more spot in this class for another defensive back and the Orange were hoping that spot had Eric Burrell's name on it.
Burrell, however, committed to the University of Wisconsin Badgers today, according to Brian Dohn, Scout's National Recruiting Analyst.. Burrell is 5'11", 170 defensive back and wide receiver for the McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Maryland. He is rated four-stars by all the recruiting services.
