Paradise Island, Bahamas — The first one splashed through the net, all effortless twine. By the time two more 3-point shots rippled that same Syracuse net, Mike Gbinije had reached a certain shooting nirvana.
"You make that first one, you definitely get in a rhythm," the Syracuse basketball guard said. "And if you make that second one, you feel like, OK, the next one I shoot is going to go in. Fortunately for me, that happened. I felt good after each shot."
Gbinije felt 26 points good Wednesday night at the Battle 4 Atlantis, scoring a game-high 26 points and sinking a career-high six 3-point shots in Syracuse's 83-70 win over Charlotte.
