Jim Boeheim on missing NCAA Tournament: 'It's not our schedule, it's the games we lost'

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse's postseason basketball destination was determined, to a large degree, by the Orange's inability to win games on the road this season.

SU had so many chances. A win over Miami in the ACC Tournament might have been enough, but losses at Pittsburgh, at Georgia Tech, plus a gigantic loss at Boston College signaled SU's baffling basketball personality.

Inside the Carrier Dome: Seemingly invincible.

Anyplace else? Imminently beatable.

NCAA Tournament chair Mark Hollis explained SU's omission from his field: "2-11 on the road and what became a theme was both how did you against teams that are in the tournament and how did you do on the road and Syracuse had struggles in both of those.
