Syracuse, N.Y. -- A Class of 2019 football recruit from Florida with an offer from Syracuse University died earlier this week following a dirt-bike accident, according to a report by the Palm Beach Post.
Marc'Allan Derac, 17, struck an SUV on April 22 in Greenacres, Fla., according to a police report. Derac was not wearing a helmet and did not have headlights on, police said, before he was ejected from the bike and taken to an area hospital, where he died nine days later.
Derac, a 6-foot-3, 176-pound safety, attended Atlantic High School in Delray Beach, Fla.
