Most people will remember Vaughn Harper as the velvety deep voice on their New York City radio dial from 1976 until 2008. The originator of "The Quiet Storm" format, there was no mistaking Harper's voice when he started talking.
Longtime Syracuse Orange fans might remember Harper from a time long before he was a DJ. They might remember him as an extremely solid member of the same SU basketball team in the late 60's.
Harper played for SU between 1965 and 1968 and was a sophomore when Davie Bing and Jim Boeheim were seniors.
