To the Editor:
As a new political tide has emerged in Syracuse, it's time to continue the conversation of replacing the Carrier Dome with a new arena downtown, and not a simple upgrade. As an alumnus, the Dome is obviously recognized as the Church of the Orange - the Vatican of Syracuse. However with such a historic decision to make, we need to review the overall regional impact this opportunity presents and decide on what type of future we want for our city.
It's no secret that the downtown market is experiencing a renaissance decades in the making and is becoming the anchor we've wanted it to become.
