Syracuse, N.Y. — Florida tight end Aaron Hackett is down to Syracuse and South Florida heading into an SU visit this weekend, he said on Thursday.
Hackett, a Venice High School rising senior, said he'll be ready to commit to the Orange if he feels comfortable during the trip. Either way, he plans on taking a second visit to USF, possibly next weekend.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Hackett listed a Top 5 of Syracuse, South Florida, Louisville, Florida Atlantic and Cincinnati in late June. He is rated three stars and the No. 82 tight end in the Class of 2017 by 247Sports.
