Syracuse, N.Y. — Robert Washington heard from the college football blue bloods, perennial winners such as Alabama, Notre Dame and Ohio State throughout his recruitment process.
But when it came time to announce his choice, the four-star SouthLake Christian (Huntersville, N.C.) Academy running back verbally committed to Syracuse on Saturday.
The Orange is coming off a 3-9 season and hasn't won more than eight games in a season since 2001, but Washington plans on changing that. The most highly touted pledge in the program's recent history spoke about his future at SU shortly after his announcement at Ascending Faith Church in Dallas, N.
