Brooklyn — Syracuse basketball recruit Malachi Richardson struggled to find his shot during the Jordan Brand Classic here at the Barclays Center on Friday night.
Richardson scored three points for the East team, which lost 118-116 to the West on the homecourt of the NBA's Brooklyn Nets.
Allonzo Trier, a 6-4 guard who has committed to Arizona, paced the West with a game-high 28 points. Cheick Diallo, a 6-9 forward, led the East with 26 points. Diallo, a native of Mali who attends Our Savior New American High School on Long Island, has yet to decide on a college.
