The 31-year-old joined the French club on loan in the summer and he has already found the net six times so far.
That has impressed Marseille's new president, Jacques-Henri Eyraud, and he admits a permanent switch for the Frenchman is on the cards.
"I like Gomis a lot. He is very compatible with OM," Eyraud told Telefoot.
"If he wants to continue you with us, there is no problem."
