There's nothing quite like scoring a goal in football, so why do some players mark the occasion in such strange ways? Jake Conneely picks out a few of the oddest reactions to the ball hitting the net

1. Kevin Nolan's chicken dance

Having captained Bolton, Newcastle and West Ham during his career, it's fair to say that Nolan was a natural leader who commanded the respect of his team-mates whenever he stepped onto the pitch.

That didn't stop him imitating a chicken whenever he beat a goalkeeper, though, with the so-called 'cluck' celebration inspired by a mate's moves on the dance floor.
