Sunderland tell Turkish giants Fenerbahce to pay £13million for permanent signing of on-loan midfielder Jeremain Lens

Sunderland have told Fenerbahce to stump up in excess of £13million to secure on-loan midfielder Jeremain Lens on a permanent basis.

Turkish media outlet SporX have reported that the Black Cats are unwilling to negotiate the Holland international's price tag.

The suggestion is the Turkish giants will be unable to match Sunderland's valuation, meaning the 29-year-old will most likely return to the Premier League strugglers at the end of the season.

Lens has already established himself as a firm fan favourite at Fenerbahce after joining on loan last summer.

The 29-year-old has an impressive 13 assists and four goals to his name after 26 appearances in the Turkish top flight this season.
