Sunderland manager David Moyes charged by FA over ‘slap’ threat to female reporter

manager has been charged by the Football Association over comments he made to a female BBC reporter back in March.

The Scot apologised and said he deeply regretted his remarks to BBC Newcastle and Radio Five Live reporter Vicki Sparks in a post-match interview, in which he appeared to threaten to slap her.

The exchange was caught on camera, with Moyes, thinking he was off air, saying: "You were just getting a wee bit naughty at the end there, so just watch yourself. You still might get a slap even though you're a woman.
