Premier League referees promised they would crack down on penalty box grappling... nine games in, we already have the return of Wrestlemania

For any campaign to work, the team must pull together. But when there were bold decisions taken early in the season by individual referees, a majority of colleagues voiced their disapproval.

After Mike Dean gave two penalties in the match between Stoke and Manchester City, one newspaper ran the headline 'Mike Dean has absolute shocker'. Among his fellow referees, the majority said he was wrong.

They didn't support him then and we have now, already, reached the stage when the holding and wrestling has returned.
