Bobcats Fall 66-62 in Overtime to Eastern Washington in WBI First Round
SAN AMRCOS, Texas – Texas State fell 66-62 in overtime to Eastern Washington in the first round of the Women’s Basketball Invitational (WBI) Thursday evening inside Strahan Coliseum.
The loss ends the Bobcats’ season at 16-15 (11-7 Sun Belt), while Eastern Washington improves to 19-13 (12-6 Big Sky) and advances to the WBI quarterfinal round against Idaho.
The Eagles used a 7-0 run in the early stages of overtime to create separation on the scoreboard, then hung on down the stretch to come away with their second national postseason win.
