Girona are on the cusp of completing a loan move for Stoke City defender Marc Muniesa.
The Spaniard has fallen out of favour under Mark Hughes and he played just 10 Premier League games last season.
The former Barcelona academy graduate is now looking for a new club and, according to Diario Sport, he will join Girona imminently.
Muniesa has reportedly given the thumbs up to a loan move and he will join the Spanish side for the whole of this season.
Originally, it had been reported that the 25-year-old would join Girona permanently but wage demands are said to have scuppered that option.
