And now Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Johnson could be on their radar ahead of the transfer window.
It has been suggested that Barca may turn to Johnson as a 'low-cost option', who would also appeal to them because he will not be cup tied in Europe.
Johnson has entered the final year of his contract at Stoke, where he has played 28 Premier League games since arriving from Liverpool in 2015.
