The sky was not falling for the St. Louis Cardinals before and it isn’t now, either.
The Cards headed into their just completed 10-game West Coast road trip having won their last six series in a row, including a home set against the San Francisco Giants, and sported the best record in Major League Baseball.
Yet after two losses to the Padres on August 21 and 22 to open the trip to San Diego, Arizona and San Francisco, some fans were really upset.
