Schebler's homer gives Reds early 1-0 lead

Lance Lynn breezed through the first five hitters he faced Friday night, recording four strikeouts and a ground out on a dribbler to third base.

Cincinnati's Scott Schebler put a loud end to the quiet start for the Reds. He drove a ball an estimated 400 feet into the right field seats to give Cincinnati a 1-0 lead in the second inning at Busch Stadium as a light rain began to fall.

The homer was No. 8 for Schebler, who entered the game hitting .203. He has hit five home runs in the last five games, including a two-homer game Wednesday in Milwaukee.
