The Cardinals made a number of roster moves on Wednesday afternoon, and they also announced that left-hander Tyler Lyons will make the start tonight against the Nationals in place of Michael Wacha.
In addition to recalling Lyons, left-hander Nick Greenwood and right-hander Miguel Socolovich from Triple-A Memphis, the club optioned Tuesday night's starter Marco Gonzales to Memphis.
Lyons will be making his seventh start for St. Louis this season, appearing in his 10th game. It's his fifth stint in the big leagues, and he made three scoreless appearances in his most recent recall.
