Numerous sources have said that Jim “The Cat” Hayes, a key member of the station’s popular “The Morning After” program, has been on the verge of being ousted by station management after a recent disagreement related to his pay.
Sources have said he nearly was dismissed twice in recent weeks. This follows turmoil at KFNS (590 AM) about 15 months ago for Hayes, who was off the program for about a week.
It was said then that he was that he was growing weary of having to get up at 5 a.m. to do the show after having many late nights at his primary job, covering the Cardinals for Fox Sports Midwest as an on-field reporter and occasional studio host.
