Hits keep on coming for Cards in blowout win over Pirates

The Cardinals rattled Pittsburgh for 11 runs on eight hits before the end of the fourth inning and went on to end their recent meandering with a 17-4 victory Thursday at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals sent nine batters to the plate in the second inning, 10 in the fourth, and nine again in the sixth. When Molina came a few yards shy of a grand slam he did so with his third hit of the game. It was the fourth inning. Fowler, the apparent karaoke organizer-in-chief, doubled home two runs in the second and had three RBIs by the end of the third.
