May 20, 2015, Springfield, MO – The Springfield Cardinals struck for runs in the eighth and ninth innings, but the Tulsa Drillers hung on for the 6-3 win before 2,708 fans at Hammons Field on Wednesday night.
The Cardinals (12-27) struck right away, opening a one-run lead in the bottom of the first against RHP Jeremy Kehrt (W, 3-3). CF Charlie Tilson led off with a rocket off the right field wall, starting the stanza with his third double of the year.
