Clemson's Swinney swings by Cardinals camp to talk championship culture, take BP

During a clubhouse meeting Sunday morning that came complete with a video presentation and was often punctuated with raucous applause, Swinney spoke to the Cardinals for 50 minutes. And then he stuck around to take batting practice with them. The coach of the 2016 and 2018 national champs was the latest guest to visit the Cardinals camp as part of Shildt’s plan to bring in champions to talk about being champions.

“Really, the message was about culture, the culture of winning, regardless of sport,” leadoff hitter Matt Carpenter said. “He referenced the Patriots. There is a reason why they’ve been to (nine) out of 18 Super Bowls.
