ST. LOUIS -- Outfielder Randal Grichuk is getting another shot to show he can stick in the Majors, while first baseman Luke Voit has arrived ready for his first. Both players were summoned from Triple-A Memphis as the Cardinals made six roster moves prior to Sunday's series finale against the Pirates.
Grichuk opened the year as the team's starting left fielder, but lost his place on the Cardinals' roster when, after 167 at-bats, he was hitting .222/.276/.377 with 54 strikeouts and four home runs. The Cardinals first sent him down to Florida to work with offensive strategist George Greer before assigning Grichuk to Triple-A.
