On August 25th in 2011, the Cardinals were 10.5 games back of the NL Wild Card. Then of course, they went on a remarkable and historical run in dramatic fashion to achieve their 11th World Series Championship in franchise history.
Since then, St. Louis has been the postseason in three consecutive years; reaching the NLCS in 2012, another World Series appearance in 2013, and another NLCS berth in 2014.
