The start of the game between the Cardinals and Giants has been delayed by intermittent rain and an update on the time of the first pitch is expected at 7 p.m.
The grounds crew had the field covered for about two hours before removing the tarp to prepare the infield. After dragging and lining the field, the tarp made a return appearance at 6:30 as more rain appeared to be entering the area.
Heyward may have suffered cramp
After leaving Monday night's game after two innings with left hamstring tightness, Jason Heyward is not in the Cardinals lineup for tonight's game against San Francisco.
