SAN FRANCISCO • Veteran reliever Matt Belisle threw a 30-pitch bullpen session Friday afternoon at AT&T Park and described a giddiness that came with a max-effort finish to the session.
Belisle threw most of the pitches at about 75 percent, he said.
But his final pitches he was able to rev it up as if he was getting ready to go into a game. Belisle has received recent clearance to begin an aggressive throwing program because he was assured that he could do no further damage to his right elbow.
"Peace of mind," Belisle called it.
