The Rockies added two more runs in the top of the seventh, and they now lead the Cardinals 6-1.
Randy Choate relieved Lance Lynn in the sixth inning, and he started out the seventh. With one out, he gave up a single to D.J. LeMahieu, and Nolan Arenado singled two batters later with two outs.
Seth Maness relieved Choate, but the reliever allowed a two-run double from Ben Paulsen, who homered in the inning before.
