As expected, Blues general manager Doug Armstrong made his decision today on the two veterans who were on professional try outs: Martin Havlat and Dainius Zubrus. Zubrus was released from his tryout; Havlat was signed to a one-year deal.
The reinforcement has arrived. General Fanager has his contract terms. The former Six Million Dollar Man is signed at just $600,000 at the NHL level, $200,000 at the AHL level. His production has dropped off, but as we have seen with Scott Gomez and Scottie Upshall, that doesn't prevent them from being useful.
